Current Opportunity

 

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Control Room Operator to join us in permanent, full time back-to back position based in our new Control Room at our Brisbane CBD office.

 

Working a 15/13 roster, the Control Room Operator (CRO) is a key member of the Operations team, and in close collaboration with the accountable site Operations team is responsible for monitoring and optimising the production wells in the Surat Basin.

 

Some of your day-to-day duties will include:

 

  • Remotely monitor and optimise the production wells.
  • Monitor and review trends to identify issues or opportunities.
  • Communicate issues/opportunities to the team and implement approved solutions.
  • Support operations with troubleshooting and rectifications.
  • Support the re-start of wells after a workover or maintenance activities.
  • Support the commissioning of new wells including:
    • Pre-commissioning checks
    • Commissioning checks and start-up
    • And troubleshooting assistance during start-up and post start-up
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce waste and increase value through innovation and application of new technology.

 

About You

Your ability to juggle priorities, multitask effectively, meet goals consistently, and keep a customer-focused approach makes you the candidate we're looking for.


Having your Certificate III in Process Plant Operations will be essential, along with the ability to showcase your understanding of the Petroleum and Gas Act and all relevant standards and codes of practice. Extra credit if you bring hands-on experience in the field, especially in Coal Seam Gas operations and maintenance. Additionally, experience with SCADA systems will be essential, demonstrating your proficiency in operating Coal Seam Gas wells.


Your reputation will be built on your technical expertise and your knack for assuming responsibility for projects, actions, and decisions. This skill set will be instrumental when offering technical support to field operators or collaborating with other teams.
