Current Opportunity 

 

We’re looking for an experienced LongTerm Planner to join our Maintenance team in our Brisbane office, supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our gas compression, power generation, wellhead, and gas processing assets. In this role, youll lead the longrange planning horizondeveloping, sequencing, and preparing major maintenance events, overhauls, and shutdowns that are critical to sustaining asset performance. 

 

You’ll work closely with Operations, Engineering, Reliability, Supply Chain, and field maintenance teams to ensure all longterm work is accurately scoped, fully resourced, and communicated well ahead of execution. Your work will directly improve schedule readiness, reduce unplanned downtime, and strengthen asset reliability across the business. 

 

Key accountabilities will include: 

 

  • Planning and scheduling major maintenance events, including compressor overhauls, Jenbacher generator servicing, wellhead and drivehead programs, and major gas plant shutdowns 

  • Developing and maintaining multiyear maintenance and overhaul schedules, ensuring all longterm tasks are fully scoped, documented, and supported with accurate work packs, materials, permits, tooling, and contractor inputs 

  • Coordinating longlead spares, overhaul kits, specialist services, and procurement requirements to ensure readiness ahead of execution 

  • Collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Reliability, and Supply Chain to confirm work readiness, sequencing, and resourcing requirements across the longterm planning horizon 

  • Monitoring planning milestones, integrating conditionmonitoring and inspection data, and ensuring alignment with Work Management processes, asset integrity requirements, and regulatory obligations 

  • Supporting risk assessments, shutdown preparation, labour and contractor forecasting, and maintaining accurate longterm plans and task lists within the CMMS (SAP) 

 

About You 

 

  • Trade qualification, technical diploma, or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline 

  • Minimum five years’ experience in maintenance planning and scheduling 

  • At least ten years’ experience in a heavy industry operational environment 

  • Experience with gas production or processing facilities, including compression, dehydration, pressure vessels, pipelines, storage tanks, safety valves, electrical systems, or gasfired power generation 

  • Strong capability with maintenance planning systems, scheduling tools, and Work Management processes 

  • Demonstrated experience in longterm planning, major overhauls, shutdown preparation, or similar largescale maintenance environments 

  • Valid driver licence and willingness to travel to remote operational sites as required 

  • Strong communication, problemsolving, and organisational skills, with a commitment to safe and reliable operations
