We’re looking for two experienced Compression Operators to join our team at our Roma-based Compression asset. Working on a 15/13 roster, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of our power generation and gas processing facilities.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll operate critical equipment, contribute to performance optimisation, and support continuous improvement through root cause analysis. Local residents are encouraged to apply, but we also offer flexible FIFO or DIDO arrangements.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Operating and maintaining key equipment including compressors, TEG dehydration units, Jenbacher generators, and flare systems to ensure safe and efficient plant performance
- Conducting preventative and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime and maintain operational reliability
- Monitoring production data using control systems to optimise throughput, reliability, and energy efficiency
- Troubleshooting equipment issues and perform timely repairs to restore functionality and support production targets
- Collaborating with engineering and operations teams to implement system upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in gas processing operations
- Proven experience in daily operations, plant startups and shutdowns, annual CFTs, and project-related activities
- Familiarity with CSG gas processing equipment and systems
- Strong technical knowledge of compressors, electric drive prime movers, Jenbacher generators, and TEG dehydration processes
- Certificate III in Process Plant Operations (or equivalent).
