Current Opportunity

 

We’re seeking an experienced Compression & Power Station Supervisor to lead our Surat Basin based compression and power generation assets. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation and maintenance of our gas compression, dehydration and power station facilities.

 

Working on a 15/13 roster, you will provide day-to-day leadership across site activities, ensuring plant performance, reliability and availability meet established benchmarks, while driving a strong safety culture and continuous improvement across operations.

 

Key accountabilities will include:

 

  • Fulfil statutory responsibilities as Site Safety Manager under the P&G Act, ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental and regulatory requirements
  • Lead the safe, compliant operation and maintenance of compression and power station assets, including compressors, TEG dehydration systems, flare systems and Jenbacher generators
  • Optimise plant performance, throughput, availability and energy efficiency through effective monitoring, analysis and operational decision making
  • Oversee and coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring reliability targets are achieved
  • Implement and manage the Permit to Work (PTW) system, including site inductions, permit control and adherence to safe work practices
  • Lead incident reporting and investigations, including HAZOBs, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
  • Supervise and coordinate contractor activities on site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to required standards
  • Lead, mentor and develop site Operators, including rostering, performance management and fostering a strong safety and continuous improvement culture

 

About You

 

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

 

  • 10+ years’ experience in gas processing, with demonstrated experience in supervisory or leadership roles
  • Strong experience in both gas compression and power generation operations
  • Proven technical knowledge of compressors, gas processing systems, TEG dehydration, and power generation equipment
  • Experience operating and maintaining Jenbacher gas engines or similar high-performance gas generators
  • Strong experience with maintenance planning, CMMS systems, and operational optimisation
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams in remote operational environments
  • Strong knowledge of safety systems, including PTW, incident investigation and risk management frameworks
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to drive a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset
