About the role

 

We have an opportunity available for a 2 x HV Electrician’s to join us in a permanent, full-time position based at our assets in Roma and Wandoan QLD. Local residents are encouraged to apply however Fly-In-Fly-Out (FIFO) or Drive-in-Drive-Out (DIDO) options are available (maximum 4 hours from site) 

 

Working a 15/13 roster, the HV Electrician will be responsible to operate, maintain and repair all electrical equipment within the power generation plant and associated processing facilities at Senex Energy.

 

Some of your day-to-day duties will include:

  • The safe and compliant operation, maintenance and repair of reciprocating engine generators, electric drive gas compressors, TEG dehydration unit electrical components, transformers, electrical distribution systems and controls.
  • Execution of the preventative maintenance plan for the electrical equipment in the facilities.


For those living within 4 hours of Roma, a Drive-In-Drive-Out (DIDO) option is available for the successful candidate.

 

Successful candidates must have a valid car drivers license and are willing to travel to remote site locations in the Surat Basin as needed for operational assistance and maintenance.

About You

 

You’re a seasoned professional with over 5 years of hands-on electrical experience, particularly within power generation and hydrocarbon processing environments. Your toolkit includes a deep understanding of the operations and maintenance of power generation and gas processing electrical equipment, making you an expert in your field.

 

Holding a QLD electrical licence (Fitter/Mechanic) is non-negotiable for this role, and you will have also complemented this with a Certificate III in Instrument & Electrical—because you know the importance of being fully qualified in your craft.

 

Your HVSO certification is proof of your high voltage skills, and if you’ve also got EEHA certification, that’s even better! You’re always prepared, with First Aid and CPR certifications under your belt, and your driver licence is paired with four-wheel drive training, ready to tackle any landscape
