Current Opportunity

 

As a paid trainee, you will undertake a Certificate III in Process Plant Operations (fee-free) through TAFE, while gaining full-time, hands-on experience. You will receive comprehensive training, guidance and ongoing support to ensure your success in this role and beyond.

 

Based at either Roma or Wandoan, you will learn how to operate and maintain well site equipment, gathering systems, pipelines, water storage facilities and associated infrastructure. Typical duties will include:

 

  • Safe operation of coal seam gas (CSG) wells, gathering systems, water storage facilities and associated infrastructure
  • Troubleshooting, fault finding and optimisation of production equipment
  • Basic maintenance of surface equipment and facilities, including vegetation regrowth control
  • Compilation of daily reports
  • Maintaining maintenance logs
  • Site supervision and coordination of operations engaged contractors.

 

Applicants wishing to apply for these residential opportunities must meet the following criteria:

 

  • Live locally in the Roma or Wandoan region
  • Hold a current Queensland driver’s licence
  • Willing to complete relevant training and studies required for the traineeship including a Certificate III in Process Plant Operations
  • Willing to start in January 2025.
